snapper
I meant how are you gonna catch the squid? jigs or baited rigs?
Jig mate, with javis walker razor back crap thing
what rod are you gonna use?
Whatever I have, the rod is ungly stick 5-8 kg class and silstar angler fish snapper rod
Sounds good, heavier gear than I would take but good luck none the less. I'm still yet to catch my first squid so you might beat me to it

Looks to be over 5cm, not really a big deal but if fisheries finds you with it chances are they'll be pretty anal about it so best to try a new one and be on the safe side
The technique i've used since I was a little kid was to use is this one - easier to keep the diameter of the opening consistent and symmetrical.
