Fairly new to this, but is it possible to throw a net into the surf at Seaspray and surrounds for crabs?

Or do I have to go to Lakes Entrance do be able to do this. Thanks.

Nah, you can catch them at Seaspray.
Definitely heaps around and when it's a bit blown and lumpy while fishing they love to hop on your bait :(
Not sure what the Reg's are, so just check them out.
Seen people using a wire cage type net catching them. Throwing a net in May be classed as a fishing net which if memory serves me right is illegal.
