Re: Sounder question
In that depth you should be able to look over the side and see them. All you can say is it is a large school of large fish. Could see that sort of pic here when the coota or cod move in. Also see that over salmon. I know many claim they can i d fish type on the sounder , but really it is more about type of echo and where you are. For example if I got that out on the reef in 30 mtrs I would say snapper or cod. If I got it in the lake I would bet on it being salmon or Taylor. At red bluff salmon or kingies or large slimy mackerel. If it was on sandy bottom in 10-20 meters. Slimies or coota .
There's nothing . . . absolutely nothing . . . half so much worth doing as simply messing around in boats.

Re: Sounder question
6m Werribee. Probably a school of salmon or pinkies. Maybe.
A bit warm for salmon but people are still catching them in the bay. Who knows. Or school of fat whiting.
Did you get any fish?
