This year the only goal will be to get out there as often as I can, and hopefully get some fish along they way

The plan this year is to reliably catch fish through winter. Last year was a struggle apart from the squid and salmon, so hopefully the can be fixed.

Now that I'm armed with a boat that isn't going to constantly fail on me, I want to tick a few species off the list in 2015

- catch a kingfish. In victoria will be great, if not I'll settle for getting on to em in Bermi.
- catch a mako. Quite happy to put the hours in so shouldn't be long before I can tick this beast off.
- catch a jew. Going to be some long westernport night for these guys but again I'm happy to put the hours in
- got my 10 day trip to Bermi in feb booked, I'll be trying my guts out for a marlin, can't wait.
- southern bluefin tuna will be on the menu come May

Most of these were on the list for 2014, but the boat splitting in half in jan put a stop to that. This year I'm more keen than ever!

Well mine are quite varied due to the planned trip up north so in no particular order
-take carl up on his 2kg salmon
-catch a 50cm snapper
-bream on HB, SP and off the surface
-EP
-edible shark (gummy)
-landbased whiting
-kingfish
-Trout on the fly
Now for up north
-trevally (any species) over 5kg
-mangrove jack
-queenie
-try vertical jigging
-barra
-coral trout
Think that should keep me busy enough hahaha
Cam
The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad

My resolution for 2015 is;

Catch my first jewie
Catch my first kingfish
Catch a snapper over 5 kg
Catch a salmon off the beach using lures
Catch a more fish species on lures (so far just flathead and coat thus far).

Maybe get a boat too ;)

- 40cm or better bream
- Bream on surface
- Mulloway on lure
- Get consistency at catching bream in my local ( maribyrnong ).
- minimise my SP and HB lures to a core set of lures that work for me
- Catch a bream on every type (not colour) of lure I decide to keep in my collection.
- don't buy any new fishing stuff until April (eek)

.....

Own a kayak (hopefully)

Last years goals all failed!
Catch a saltwater...anything! One attempt at the salt last year at our Brighton get together was a donut. Most people were catching fish on bait but I stuck with the sp's cos I like lures. Gave it a good shot, in between taking cover from F5 tornadoes as they thundered past! :-D

Catch my first ever yella on a lure was another goal. Gave that a good go from September onwards without luck. On the flip side, I caught more cod in these months on lures than I have in my life! Never used lures that much before chasing natives so this was a positive outcome for 2014!

Catch a cod off the surface was my last goal. From memory I didn't attempt this as I was too busy catching cod on lures whilst pursuing yellas!

From memory, the first half of the year was spent chasing reddies and carp with Davek whilst at times annoying some rather largish trout that would not come to the party!

Anyway, keeping my goals the same. Good time now for the surface cod then yellas on lure around March. Saltwater critters can wait til latter on in the year!
cheers
