Anyone heading to Bermagui this january?
hi all
im planning a trip upto Bermagui in a few days for 2 or 3 weeks
does anyone know if there are fish around this time of year?
also Just wondering who's planning on heading up there?
Ill probably have a spare spot on my boat most days if anyone wants to come out with me
im taking my 5.2mt boat up and can get out near the 12mile, Montague island and the kink for some game fishing
i have 15kg and 24kg game gear with some skirts and divers
if it worth going out for something big?
im hoping for something more then flathead and salmon lol
any help will be handy guys
cheers ricki

The fishing was good; it was the catching that was bad

Schools of small tuna often pass through there. I go up too tathra a fair bit and always get told that the best lure up there for them is a small white metal lure with a pink belly! Must just resemble a baitfish up that way or something
Angling is the name given to fishing by people that can't fish

Not heading up there unfortunately. This time of year you should be a fair chance of getting a kingfish or two off Montague Island with the currents being warmer.

Good luck.
Kings are already around the island and there is a chance of marlin being around in a couple of weeks.
