I'm a left handed writer, also use tools & weld left handed.I cast with my left, wind with my right.

I hold a cricket bat right handed but throw & bowl left handed. I kick a football left foot but hand pass right handed.I play golf right handed.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

AVG fisho. It feels very un natural. I have tried it just so I can feel what its like. Couldn't do it.

Yup as above for a lefty. Cast left wind right. No need to change hands after the cast and the dominant hand does the hard work of hauling in the fish and the right gets it easy by winding.

I cast with my right, and reel with my right.
I've tried swapping the reel handle over and it just feels horrible.
No intention of trying that again, and I don't see the big deal.

If you're catching fish and it feels comfortable..

Well I use my right hand for writing and for everything else I'm left handed,
But casting with left hand and reeling with the right one, is working perfectely for me...that's the main thing ;)

I'm all so right handed and have all ways wound with my right now like others I'm trying to swap to reeling in with my left and I agree it's awkward but with plenty of practice I don't think the switch will be hard.

Try using your right hand more often, you'll get use to it.

You'll be surprised how quickly it becomes natural. I really don't fish that often, lucky to get out once a month, but I got the feel for it after 2 or 3 outings. Definitely helps if you're doing some lure fishing, a lot of casting and retrieving.
