At the end of the day they are all snapper whether they are 1cm or a metre + I say around 50cm anything under are pinkies.

I agree. At 40 just still doesn't look like a snapper more like a big pinkie but starting at 50 :thumbsup:Hosery wrote:At the end of the day they are all snapper whether they are 1cm or a metre + I say around 50cm anything under are pinkies.

Theres a lot of toss factor that goes with thiss, a bloke that has caught a 5KG fish will say all fish 4.5kg and below are pinkies.

Re: What sizes is a pinky to a snapper
i will stick with fisheries rules for this..
anything over 40 for me is a snapper, as that's when the rules state that only 3 can be taken.
do i personally consider it to be a snapper, NO!! i would say 50 plus..
ps - Pinkies automatically classify as snapper if they are made to look big in pics on Social media.. and im very good at doing that

It seems like a very important topic here. We need the people to decide.. No matter what the cost!
There is pinkies being called snapper.. snapper being called pinkies. People just being out right rude and calling them "red carp"! Its just not on.. All pinkie/snapper should be treated equally

Re: What sizes is a pinky to a snapper
Damn. my recent catch was a cm short. I should have played it 10 min longer. It could have grown a bit more to be a snapperbowl wrote:Agreed.piscateur wrote:Theres a lot of toss factor that goes with thiss, a bloke that has caught a 5KG fish will say all fish 4.5kg and below are pinkies.
