Are gopros worth the coin or are the cheaper versions enoug?

I went different again at got a contour roam. Still plenty of mounting accessories available. Waterproof to a metre out of the box without a case so you can get great audio unlike the go pro. Was only marginally cheaper at the time and since the original company went bust and subsequently bought, they're a little harder to find until hopefully soon

i got a cheap one for Xmas from JB HIFI and it works great its full HD to 1080 and so easy to use.
MY WIFE LETS ME BUYS ALL THE FISHING GEAR I CAN HIDE !!

I have the Sony hdr-as30v.

Works a treat, great picture quality mainly use it on the bike and it copes well with bumps, near falls etc.

Audio is really good as my wife pointed out I can hear you puffing up the hills.
