Head Lamp

Post by Steve1389 » Thu May 12, 2016 10:26 pm

Hey guys, looking at purchasing a good head lamp and something very bright for areas with no lights at all. I've got some cheap ones but they just don't do the job. I've seen some strong ones on ebay but I am not sure if I trust them. Any recommendations?

Try brite led tech in bayswater. Good warranty and the led bars are fully submersible and can take the saltwater

I posted this this one last time this topic came up and about 5 blokes ended up buying one. My advice is to get a couple more 18650 batteries because that torch chews through the power, and get a decent charger because the batteries aren't cheap and they'll last a lot longer with a smart charger:

I got this a few months back its an LED Lenser rechargeable they are a bit pricey but are a very reputable brand ,they can cope with all conditions and spares are easy to get. The 300Lm output suits my needs well for rigging up at night and seeing where I'm walking or standing its quite bright.

I personally haven't had any problems with the cheaper ones. Just replace them every 6 months or so. Just re charge the batteries from time to time :)

I've been through dozens of headlamps this is the best by far, all metal construction, fully variable adjustment, multiple led's for night vision, one 18650 battery does me an all nighter, I carry a spare but have never needed it, it's not cheap but I take my night fishing seriously...

Led lenser. 14.2
Had the older version, it had an unfortunate overboard incident during last years tea tree comp. Great headlamps.

I got one of these from bcf recently :

It's $20 if you're a member and 240 lumens (read bright as f**k)

I've used it once on a night session and it was too good. Runs on AA batteries and has good run time
