Float

Post by donutcrooks » Wed Mar 15, 2017 8:09 pm

G'day everyone,

I am wondering what float this guy was using. I am pretty new to fishing having only caught my first fish on Monday. He was using a really long rod at Williamstown - The Warmies and had a float that was like a long pencil thing. I was wondering if it would be better than my little red bobber and how it works?

Any and all advice is welcome and definitely appreciated! Thanks in advance!

You are almost there.... google pencil float.

I myself do not use floats in enough of my fishing to be able to tell you any more than that!

With my rigs I use a float stopper, small ball sinker, 3 way swivel and some Fluro leader :)
I'll see if I can find a pic for you.

I get the float stopper with the small ball sinker but don't follow what the 3 way swivel and Fluro leader is :P

As cool as it looks, it is definitely out of reach for now because I have to save for a car and all my school stuff!
