Where to buy gaffs from?

Post by smile0784 » Fri May 12, 2017 4:09 am

Im looking at buying new fixed pole gaffs for the boat.

What do people recommended and where to buy them from?

Are the rogue from bcf any good for school tuna and marlin?
Or best investing in a decent gaff for 100 to 150 that will last

Rogue ones are good for school fish, They will bend on larger fish.
chmarine sell Hookem ones, reinforced SS. Those are good for barrells.

I fabricate my own.

A friend gave me a small one with 2 foot handle but its about 5 year old now all s/s so it lasted on the boat.
The big one i had my dad made with 6 foot handle of inch alloy tube and fiberglassed the gaff head on but it must of been of mild steel cos its rusted up now.
So looking at replacing both of them to go with the new boat.

X 2 for Tony's tackle. He will probably be at the boat show show again this year if you can wait that long! Hookem also make good gear.
