Out rigger tag lines?

Just putting my outriggers and at the end of the tag line together it has a.swival to tie a cord onto..
All the.ones i used in the past had.snaps but that was 10 years back
Is the string a.new way?
Who uses the cord or do people use a.snap swival at the end of the tag line?

Mine has a squash ball with a roller snap swivel sticking out

Nah just a little plastic hook, open not like a swivel

Ours have a partially open plastic clip. You clip onto the line and when you pull the line ie fish strike it pulls free. Similar to what you can use with a egg beater when free spooling livies. They have a screw for adjustment of the clamping force so you can tune them for bigger or smaller lures.
