Which Fish Finder?

I am looking to buy a fish finder for my partner for his birthday but have no idea what is best. He has a tinny that is mainly used on the golburn river and sometimes lake eildon.
I have a budget of approx $200. I have looked at the Lowrance Elite 4x DSI. What are your thoughts?

For its price it would be fine in the rivers
Catching nothing and still having an awesome time
