How far can ya get baits out from there?Whiskers wrote:I fished Lang Lang (landbased) on Friday from two hours before the high tide to two hours on the run-out.
Very, very quiet. Not even a touch from any pickers. Another couple of guys there shared the boredom.
Depending on weather, I may give it another crack tomorrow.

Re: Anyone trying for cold weather gummies?
You don't need a long cast to catch fish there, although a long caster will cover more water. At high tide 50 or 60 yards will put you into the fish zone. The fish will be all over the flats.chris seafarer wrote:How far can ya get baits out from there?Whiskers wrote:I fished Lang Lang (landbased) on Friday from two hours before the high tide to two hours on the run-out.

At low tide you'll need a scud missile to get your bait wet.

That's the way. I only need to scrape a pass in mine to pass all my subjects which takes a lot of the pressure off. A month away from the water only able to read other people's reports has left me with a shocking case of the fishing equivalent of blue balls though.
