Have you considered just drifting and letting out a big burley trail? The sharks should come to you

Did you go to mud island remember its a marine park don't fish inside the yellow bouys. Bronze whalers are common in the shallow waters around mud island after a few days of high temps they seem to bask in the warmer water.

Just burley the bejesus out of the water while drifting shallow. Tuna oil with chook pellets and a heap of pillies will make a nice slick. Like you would for mako?
