Bit like elephant fish and leatherjackets. Spikes are there more of a look than a threat.
You would have to be severely drunk or retarded to get spiked by these things

Like goonie said, cup of concrete and a rag to soak up the blood. Few days later if swollen and tender a fairly clean sharp object to pierce the skin or a hard push to open original hole and squeeze the contents out. You'd have to be HIV positive or just severely immunodeficient for it to get worse than a pus lump at the puncture siteToady king wrote:okay so more, wipe it with an alcohol wipe and see a doctor no need to call an ambocobby wrote:No more poisonous than most other fish spikes. Possible localised swelling and infection from bacteria, minor bleeding, bucket load of pain. Main problem comes from your body not being able to localise the infection and it spreads.

These are the only ones you need to be really careful of:
Even then they're not too bad to handle in a boat where there's a bit of room to maneuver them safely. I won't bring them into the yak though.
Not much meat on them and while they taste pretty good a lot of people don't bother with them.
