Gday guys. I have searched the net countless times looking for the old vic hislop shark hunter documentary from the 70s or 80s. Does anyone have a copy or know where i could find one. Im happy to borrow, buy or get a copy made. Thanks in advance :cheers:

It was an old low budget film with mainly him fishing on his boat. He caught the big 22foot world record on it too

I recall as a kid going to see a giant great white slowly decomposing in a refrigerator truck that Vic drove around. Those really were the days.

I paid to see this travelling freak show as well (Frankston Sunday Market...mid 80's?)...Australia, bring back travelling freak shows!

My brother in law was taken to see it and hasn’t had so much as a bath ever since.

There is an amazing film of Bob and Dolly Dyer shark fishing off Cape Moreton back in the days when they caught a lot of world record Tigers and Whites. I tried to find a link but the only one I could find does not work. They were fishing with whale blood, blubber and liver and the number of huge sharks they had behind the boat was incredible - 500 lb Tigers were the small ones. This was in the days of the Tangalooma whaling station still being in operation. Some of the current GFAA fishing rules came about from the way Bob and Dolly fished but what they did was legal in those days.
