great fishing well done was that on the tica extreme 8.6 nibble tip ? after reading you thoughts about the rod purchased one last weekend from wayne at southern sports fishing $85 when asking him about the rods he smiled and said you will have some fun with this rod

That’s great. Ha ha I’ve had the same shenanigans tangles and nets and lines and burley buckets many times.
Last time I lost my first ever Kingfish because I never tightened the handle properly on my new fancy net. So when I was - rod in one hand with a 80cm kingy thrashing around right at the boat and net in the other her hand - me bouncing around in 2plus meter swell - well yes I lost the fish.
