So like im no expert on this one.. But as of late i been trying to aim at getting gummy sharks or anything "huge"

I`ve been heading out to sorrento/portsea areas anyone know wheres the best place for beginners to start?
(obviously not after your Special spots. Just somewhere where i can just try lol)

practice makes perfect. Start at the Melbourne Aquarium. :-)

Fresh bait is tops. Squid or salmon fillets or even the whole salmon (flied).

Rig depends on the area you are fishing. On a boat in the deep waters, running sinker is fine. In the surf, you have no choice but to anchor your bait....star or garpnel.

You need to research a few new areas vinhii. You wont get much gummy wise landbased in PPB :haha2:

But it you look round a little bit(close by) you should find things like this

Oh and if you save me a couple of salmon, I might be able to show you a :r spot :super:

ah brett...dont tease him with your catch. He is now doing long shifts and he might do a 48 hour session soon.

Catching a gummy is like catching the woman of your dreams...sometimes, you catch rubbish and you let them go. It takes time to have a keeper. But if you are too desperate, you may be tempted to take home a banjo :roflmao:

As for the ladies out there, they have to kiss a lot of frogs before they can find us. And if they want to find us, they have to be where the fishes are. :lolf: :roflmao:
