15/24kg RT Game Rod... $37 in Compleat Angler Sale....

Having broken my spare rod, i was thinking of a cheapy replacement to get me through to xmas n hopefully have a bit of fun with. It's a 1 piece 1.73m spec - just wondering if anyone has any info on em?

Would only be for the rocks any the scary stingray piers (corinella / cowes / blairgowrie etc) - suppose it could work on some of the smaller surfy beaches too (lang lang / merrick etc?)

Any help would be appreciated - it's probably the bite detection thing that's putting me off.....

Yeah, I know it sounds like a bargain and it probably is if you were to buy it for it's intended purpose!

I'm sure with a bit of hunting around you could find something in a similar price range in a 7-8 foot / 8-10kg or 10-12kg rod to suit your purposes a lot better.
