Anyone know if these are any good? There has been a few times out on the bay when I'd kill for a hot four'n'twenty.

I looked into it recently and came to the conclusion that the only decent ones are the travel buddies

The travel buddies run on 10ah I believe.
Make sure you have the capacity in your batteries preferably on a dual battery system with a VDR so you don't find yourself with a flat battery after enjoying your warm meal.

Went out on a mates boat and he had a pie warmer installed, was pretty great scoffin down parties pies and sausage rolls out offshore all day

Don't know if I'd get one though, seems very fiddley and I feel like they would probably break all the time

Would be important to make sure the cabling can suit it, the battery capacity can run it as well as other items you may be using such as radio, GPS, Sounder, Lights, Bait tank, Deck Wash then also have enough in reserve to start the motor if you don't have a dual battery system.

They look like they would be great when anchoring for a gummy, mulloway or snapper on a cold western port night. Just a matter of making sure your battery capacity can handle it and get you home safely.

I do most of my fishen over night. That has my tummy grumbling.
Best thing i ever got was a battery jump starter pack. Ive used it many times as my battery charger was faulty and giving.me a 100% reading when really the battery was 25 %.
For the sake of 150 bux every boat should have 1. No problems then with the hot pies. Unless it comes to footy.... haha. Carn the tiges!

The size of the units make them easier to transport than the older bulkier units also.

Was thinking of having a separate battery (kickass kit) with a solar panel on the hardtop just for the oven, but as a backup for main power when and if required.
