What's a good egi rod other than Emeraldas?
I can't afford $200+ Emeraldas MX. Has anyone got any or used the below?
But yea Seb if I was looking at that list would go for the majorcraft ones

Majorcraft Solpara 832E end of discussion. Crostage if you can spend over $150
Yeah, thinking of getting the Solpara. Missus wont be very happy but I think I can wing it. Don't think I can survive $150+ purchase though. Lol.
Good luck with that Seb!
How many egi rods you got mate? Or is it going to be your first one?

Had the Rovex years ago til someone broke into my car and took it, along with other stuff.
Been using my soft plastic rod since then.
I think I'm ready for another egi rod now.

The only true Shimano egi rod in that list is the Sephia but that's over $200. The Ifish and Sentire are 99% chance of being identical except name, colour scheme and if youre lucky reel seat to the cheaper Catana and Raider. The Rovex is what you get when you want the length without really actually getting an egi rod. Haven't touched a Veritas or Crucis, but for only $15 more get the proven Solpara

Yea sounds like another new one would be a good idea.
And why not when they have them on sale :)

Hey Seb forget what the rovex felt like i had one at the start for squid (crap) like everybody say,s you dont need a specific rod well i call baloney .A proper squid rod make,s it so much more enjoyable. I bought the solpara sps-832e great rod used it for a year no problem,s now keep it as a back up rod.Now the daiwa emeraldas mx86ml is my baby just a fantastic rod yep cost,s abit more so if i was you and going to continue chasing squid just save some more buck,s if not the solpara is a good rod

Thanks dazz.
Yea I wish I could get the Emeraldas MX, but too costly at the moment.

Now I'm weighing between Solpara or Crostage.

How's the Solpara? Good?

I’ve got a rovex and a Sephia. The rovex feels like absolute dogs ass in comparison.

The Sephia is sickkkkkkkkkkk if you are casting a lot.

It’s smooth to use and it slings 3.5 jigs like no tomorrow.

And thats exactly why you pay more for the better ones..
some fishermen whine when they hear how much others are spending on fishing gear. but they will shut up as soon as they start to use the better stuff.
