Brighton 29/10

Post by Freakazoid » Wed Oct 29, 2014 9:50 am

 wind, tide & sunrise all aligned nicely this morning so I had to go for a fish. Today pillies did the damage... Squid was ok, was getting bites but they didn't seem to come back for a hookup.
Loads of small pinkies & plenty of flathead about. Kept two flatties for a feed later
Was a really fun morning so who knows I might head back down later this afternoon hehe

Hehe thanks guys
Flatties are always a welcome bycatch here. Caught a few smaller ones, but they went back to grow as u barely get any meat off the 30cm models.

Nice catch and well done on having some fish action. Big flatties make a delicious soup. Hope BB doesn't read the last bit... :lolf: (he hates wasting fish for a soup)

My Nonna uses the carcases to make fish brodo (Italian broth soup). I think it's gross lol but at least she fries up the fillets for us to enjoy.
