Brighton Pier Access

Just some information regarding the state of play at Brighton pier I found for anyone interested.


Important Notice: Pier Access for Members

This morning the Club met with Parks Victoria along with the appointed engineering firm KBR to walk over Brighton Pier and discuss when access for members can be reinstated.

The assessment concluded that the Pier remain closed for ALL users.

Parks Victoria has advised that ‘Make Safe’ measures will be implemented from Monday morning and member pedestrian access to the marina could be available as early as Wednesday.

According to the Royal Brighton Yacht Club website the pier is open but the breakwater is still closed.

Haven't been down there personally as I normally fish the breakwater so haven't bothered.

It's only open up to the marina gates.

I was at brighton pier all weekend and got nothing, not even a bite, depressing, does anyone know why that would be

having been closed recently, the fish went elsewhere.

Is it still only open to the marina entrance or is the breakwater open now also?
