pb squid at brighton 13/4/15

Post by buzztek » Tue Apr 14, 2015 5:01 pm

Got out for a fish last night targeting pinkies and squid.
High tide 9:30pm light N/E wind.
I arrived at 9:40pm, set up bait rods and chucked my white jig in and on the second cast I pulled up this beast.
The hood was 29cm but it was a really solid squid.
Had afew little bites and one decent one but all on pilchards but couldnt land one.(about 10:15 to 11pm).
No more squid either..
Heaps of puffer fish swimming around the lights and there was fish jumping out of the water, but I dont know what they were.
I saw a couple other blokes catch a couple pinkies,
And afew others caught a couple decent sized squid .
Over all was a quite night but I was wrapped with my pb calamari. Cheers
