Hmmm the bite pattern does make me wonder?
I was Mosquito channel in WP on Sunday & apart from Couta, Tailor & flatties, kept getting lots of tapping & when I reeled in - Pillies gone. With the wind, tide & chop I'm thinking I may have had a red nibbling??? Oh well, I'll never know :-D
At least your scored a nice one though.
Cheers mate. Who knows? All I know is I have never had to strike like that to hook a fish that size :)

No rockcod?
I'm yet to catch a rockcod north above corinella, literally as soon as I went to snapper rock or more south though I instantly catch them.

Have got a fair few nice rock ling in mosquito channel though. Excellent eating fish.

Have caught them past Grantville.
