My first ever Pinky Snapper!
I went to Brighton yesterday evening and had a crack at the pinkies that might be there. The first hour or two was very quiet and many people packed their gear up and went home. I was there with my fishing buddy who gave me lots of handy bits of advice. It just happened to be close to a high tide when we arrived and by the time the sun was completely down, the tide was receding. We were about to finish up for the evening and suddenly, we had a bite. Then, the fish took off and it felt super awesome especially on the light-ish rod that I was using as well as 8lb line. We caught another pinky but it was under the legal size (28cm) so we had to put it back. It felt great releasing the undersised fish because we knew it would come back as a larger and better fighting fish. I guess persistence does indeed pay off. It was certainly a memorable and delicious catch!

Thanks, what's the difference between snapper and pinkies by the way? Are they just a juvenile version?Yota wrote:Well done buddy. I'm sure you will catch more in the future. Good effort
