Can be a graveyard for your terminal tackle at times
"Do good when you remember, and what you forget will be revealed to you; and do not surrender your mind to blind forgetfulness."

Re: Hampton Rock Groynes
The Groyne at New Street is very snaggy and you will lose rigs. The next one further south is much less snaggy.

Re: Hampton Rock Groynes
I have fished there twice in the past 2 weeks and got donuts. once in morning and once at night sun rise and sunset and with incoming tides and sw winds.
I think later in the snapper season this place is awesome as when I went there back in January this year, it fished quite well.

Re: Hampton Rock Groynes
Thanks Guys, I hate it when it becomes a graveyard for your terminal tackle, it just takes time to setup the rig.
Which Groynes is more ideally to fish at which will help in somehow catching something I am assuming the one that has the dark patches were the reef is but this also increases the snag rate ?
I guess Snag area = Fish area ?

Awesome fishing mate gonna give these groynes a hit in the upcoming season... What type of water depth are we looking at down that way? Obviously with a onshore wind casting distance will be hampered. Never fished there.
