Bait/rig advice for the Brighton area?
Hi everyone, I am a Brit coming out in December to visit family in Brighton . I want to fish in the area but not sure what type of trace/hook or bait is best to use. I have been reading some advice but sorry guys the bait names mean nothing to me . Any advice gratefully accepted

Phil, PM either brighton bomber or Nhillboy .. they took most of the snappers from Brighton last year :lolf:
I am sure that they will be more than willing to help you out re rigs and baits.
Hope you catch a big one when you're here!
Cheers

Re: Bait/rig advice for the Brighton area?
Hi Phil, Paternoster rig with 2 hook set up (size 1/0 to 3/0). Use pieces of pilchard, or if that doesnt work on the night, try squid. This works for me. the rougher the weather the better your chances. Cheers

Brighton breakwall
just got back from a 5 hour session at the breakwall no good a few bite's every 15 or so mins but nothing to crash hot. me and a mate had two surf rods out with a gummy/snapper bait also 1 whititng outfit and a rod each that saw all the lures under the sun. all in always a good day to get out and get burley trail going and wet some lines better luck next time.
