Well done on keeping cool mate. Would have been a completely different situation if that had happened to me. Most likely a much worse one for all involved (Inc me)

Sucks to hear this **** happens but it does, not alot you can do.

Atleast you were able to keep it from becoming violent.
Good job keeping your cool, how old were these "kids"?

I was fishing and some drunk kids keeps messing my stuff, maybe bcoz I'm all by myself and 5 of them, checking my things for cigarettes,,, so annoying as they shouted at me and one of the drunk kid even messing with my bait knife, I tried to be calm as possible and not to engage as these are teenagers and are not in the right mind,, however, sometimes they are out of line specially checking your bags and touching your stuff...... I told the guy not to touch the knife as can be cut himself...... as they stayed longer I am losing my patience..... I'm supposed to be there to relax and have some peace of mind.... oh well, lucky nothing happened and I did not caught anything either....
I would of lost it, sometimes being passive is a bad thing.
Next time, call the police on them or hope im on the pier fishing with you.
This is another reason not to fish friday nights or weekends and part of a reason why i want to buy a boat.

Good on you for keeping your cool mate. Personally I am not that tolerant and I'm sure would've ended in tears for the little pricks. :bat:

Cheers Steve

Knife is not on plain view it inside my fishing trolley, u know those shopping trolleys u see in springvale, ages around 15-18 if not mistaken, I'm pTient I just don't want someone touching my stuff specially knife, if my kid was there fishing it will be a different story, ,,,, but if only me they can humiliate me if it makes them look tough,,, I don't have problem with that

They were drunk.
Most likely if pushed into the bay he would have drowned.
The O.P. handled it correctly.
