What Lightningx said, also some mullet from time to time around the open channel area at the start of the pier. Some people usually fish there once boats come in.. seem to be when they get bites the most but not sure.

Thinking about heading there for some squid tonight. I am coming from the Western Suburbs. Worth the drive?

Headed down today to Mordialloc Pier on high tide thinking I was in with a chance for a snapper in this weather.

Didn't get a single bite.

Thats fishing I guess, always the unknown

Thanks champ, I really thought I was in for a fish or two. Perhaps there is very specific conditions for bagging a big red from there. Plenty of chop on the water, wind and rain. It wasn't to be this time :water:
