Caught plenty of trout off the pier this morning. Took 5 home for breakfast.

Good stuff. Usually pretty easy to catch and they fight hard. What's not to like?

They taste great fresh. Under 30cm they have sweet white firm flesh. Once they go past 30cm the table quality drops away.

No chance mate. Ive caught some thumpers this year. If anything the taste is better if bled and cared for.
Dont freeze and eat within 2 days. We caught some.big buggers this year and i was wrapt. Bloody awesome. Il never put a salmon down as bait again. (Maybe its head)

Nice. Yeah I guess it was in response to 4litres. Up to 1kg I eat em but after that I find them a bit dry.

I can certainly see it be off-putting to some but I've never had serious issues with it. To each his own, though. I saw this one guy post that he doesn't like eating KGW lol. At any rate, if you don't eat salmon, there are bigger and tastier things that will :thumbsup:

I had a big kahawai in NZ on the smoker and it was bewdiful!
