2/7/18 report
So with the lack of fishing reports lately, I decided to contribute one of mine from a few days ago.
Decided to go for a late arvo plastics session to see If I could get onto some salmon.
Arrived around 4 and started in the shallows first with no luck then made my way up the pier casting all over the place. left and right left and right.
Wasnt having much luck but then i spotted some birds diving in the distance, but as usual it was way out of casting range.
I kept casting in the direction but nothing. Eventually the school disappeared but i kept persisting and finally got a hook up.
Could tell it was no monster but fun none the less on light gear. Up came a nice bay trout.
A few casts later i hooked up to something that was much bigger but was bitten off which i suspect was either a snook or a couta.
I tied on another plastic and the very next cast had a hook up but the same thing happened. Had the fish on for maybe 10 seconds but once again bitten off.
Lost a couple of jig heads and a couple of plastics but decided to put on another one.
Luckily for me, no more lost jigs and plastics but the salmon came on and i had a fun short session for around three quarters of an hour, landing a total of 15.
By then it was almost dark and I wasn't intending on staying after dark so packed up and left them biting for next time.
Cheers,
LX.

Nice one mate. Haven't had a report from you in ages! At your usual haunt, was it?

Re: 2/7/18 report
Haha finally some fish..
Good to see someone other than the regulars actually putting up reports.
I would encourage others who just sit there and just read reports to also actually post a report of their fishing adventures rather than just be a spectator.
Thanks for sharing. Hopefully many more to come from. You.
Cheers
