Not quite sure which section this one belongs in.

We launched at Newport at about 6:45am. Conditions were perfect, almost glassy. We first took off down to Half Moon Bay area fishing the shoal on the way down and finally ending up on the southern side of Ricketts Point just outside of the marine park. We landed a few small pinkies, none of which were even close to legal size. Sammy the Seal also took a couple for breakfast, as did a Cormorant when i accidentally dropped one on the same side as the bird which dove down and grabbed it in a split second.

We then took off for T2, i sounded a possible bait ball a few hundred metres west of the actual marker so we dropped anchor and berly'd up. We didnt get any legal snapper but we did land a dozen or so legal Flatties. Berkley Gulp Nemesis in Nuclear Chicken were getting smashed by the Flatties and picked at by Pinkies.

Finally just after 11am we headed back up the Williamstown to the same spot i was at last week just off the rock wall at Willy beach and again straight away we were on to the squid, this time drifting along the wall about 100m out until the water got too shallow. Multiple drifts produced 4 squid.

We got back to the ramp at about 1pm with 13 Flathead and 4 Squid.
