8am high tide Weds morning.

Post by DougieK » Tue Apr 22, 2014 1:46 pm

Thinking of hitting the session from sunup until about 9-10 am at Blackrock tomorrow morning, Have setups for snapper and salmon and bream. Any advice on baits or lures?

Dying to take the new Nitro for a cast and this seems as good a place as any.

*not promoting any online store just from google*

I use these in purple and orange for salmon and snapper, have caught most my salmon on the purple one, and have only caught snapper on purple not orange..
have a few more hard body sinking vibes to try on snapper this year though..

They look good, 16 for a blade seems a bit steep though?

Your best bet is probably pinkies there at the moment, unless a salmon school swims in close. I would have pilchards and squid as bait.

eh..I thought that till i used them, i trawl with 3 rods in ppb, with one of these, a halco twisty and one of those spanyard or gillies slugs. 9 times out of 10 the deka bokun goes off..i guess it's like squid jigs, can buy ones for $5 or for $25 haha
