Swan street bridge Bream

Post by ChrisD » Tue Dec 29, 2015 7:49 am

Spent the evening on the Yarra just up from the Swan street Bridge - 7 bream all up, all on bait - worms and chicken. Intended to use some lures but bait was producing so I stuck with what I know. Maybe next trip will see some lures used.
Still get some strange looks when people seeing you fishing along that section.....looks of amazement when you catch something.
Fairly sure I heard a guy telling his wife he would be back with his fishing rod at some stage.....

Once we get past the coming hot spell I hope to get back down there. That session was one of the best I have had in a very long time.
Trick is to make sure nothing is happening at any of the sporting arenas, that way parking is much easier. Get there after 6pm and you don't have to pay either.

Sorry Cornacarpio - they drained the ponds in Boronia and I just took that as a sign to expand my range.
I still get the occasional carp - but just looking for a few other challenges of late :)

Boathouse Drive parking signs finish at 3pm..If your interested
I don't know if the rowers would be an interference.
