A good bait is live Bass Yabbies, the once local beaches that had Yabbies, tube worms etc are all but depleted of the resource due to over bait gathering. Try Malone's bait & tackle @ 363-365 Douglas Parade, Newport they sell plenty of fresh + live bait, but a little pricey.

Nice one fish hunter. I know the place. The guy that runs it isn't exactly me friendly, is he?
