Re: Docklands
I chase bream. But sometimes I get the odd pinkie as by-catch.
Decided for a change today to chase some pinkies....

Re: Docklands
Been thinking about replacing the trebles with stinger hooks to improve hook up rate when the fish are smaller. Trebles have the problem of not really being able to hook up to smaller bream, and dropping the really big ones.
If you don't mind me asking, what kind of stingers do you use and where do you get them from?

Re: Docklands
Ecogear zx replacement stingers are good but very Exxy. I get mine off ebay - 30 for $30 or I think 10 for $13. Hooks are a little larger and not as fine gauge and I recommend you squash the barb as they can be an ordeal to remove if you don't.

Re: Docklands
Hit the docks again tonight with the blades. A lot quieter than last week but managed to coax three bream into playing the game. Dropped a couple more on hookup. Very tentative and frustrating bite tonight. Really had to work at getting a reaction bite - nothing standout - all 28ish size fish. Sorry no pics - was waiting for the decent fish that never came

Re: Docklands
Had literally twenty minutes to fill in between dropping my kids off and starting work.
What else could I do ? :D
Threw the pre-rigged telescopic, lip grips and forceps in the boot and good to go.
3rd cast at my "pinkie" spot and onto a bream. Maybe it's a bream spot
Time for a quick photo and release and then off to work. Love a quick, sneaky session !

If you look at his other items you can see he sells them in packs of ten for $13.
Obviously not genuine zx assist hooks. The guy has a lot of um ... Non-genuine product .... But I find his stingers good value (a bit heavy gauge but at $1 a pop I'm not complaining). Recommend crushing the barbs else they can be tough to remove.
