from now until the start of april, north coast NSW, live bait gear or a trolling outfit, for school,. spottys and spanish mack.

This might not help you much on fishing vic...

Mate I took twelve good sized cowanyoung jack mackerel at flinders yesterday night, there are large schools coming through every clear night.
