Here's a report from 4 different places around Victoria. The family and I went down to lorne for a weekend break. We arrived at around 2pm(friday) and ventured around the town. After dinner I went to the pier to fish, I was hoping I can catch something. Walked to the end of the pier and started fishing from there and noticed a big black shadow swam past just in front of me and surfaced! Bugger its the seal doing its round around the pier. Retrieved my line then went back to the hotel. The next morning I decided to fish the Eskrene river, I did caught a nice fat bream the last time I fished it. The water was very murky and I know the fishing will be tough. I lost a cranka crab and that was it, no fish for the trip. Later that day I asked the misus if she wants to venture down to apollo bay and yes she agreed and off we went. After we ate lunch, we went down to the pier. Seen a lot of grass whiting been caught at the end of the pier casting inside the harbour. My fishing was okay, caught two beautiful coloured fishes

(a wrasse and Nemos friend :victory: ) I was happy coz I didnt donut at this trip :super: . The next morning went back to the pier to fish for squid, but it was very quite not even a follow! went back empty handed again I was so frustrated. I then had another plan, I need to go wurdiboluc and sussed the place out coz I havent been there. I did manage to fish it for less than an hour with nothing and talked to the locals who were fishing. They told me that it was really quite for a week and they're hoping that it will fire soon. Now back to Melbourne and off to my stomping ground after I dropped off the missus and the kid to watch a movie. I had only 2 hours to fish it and after a couple of cast I was rewarded with a nice little bream! and then a good sized pinkie that pulled string like crazy, It was 44 cm long! the fish were climbing all over my lure I lost count. It was a good feeling of catching a fish again after a frustrating fish at the south coast waters. And I dont need to go far to have a good days fishing, thats why I love this joint!
