Top advice Scrags, I would add, if you drop a fish, move, 'cos the buggers spook so easily..a dropped fish usually results in the school scattering or moving away quickly..

I'll add, you don't need to move far. 50-100mtrs can make all the difference. Blues comment on the sand patches is spot on also btw. I'll sometimes have 3 or 4 cracks at getting the boat sitting in the right spot. Those little details can make the difference between bagging out and catching nothing but rubbish fish.

Also, if ur baits are disappearing as soon as they hit the bottom, chances are you have a school of leatheries under the boat. Either cast out over them or move a little to get away from them. (Can even be letting an extra 20-30 Myra of anchor rope out)
