I'll add, you don't need to move far. 50-100mtrs can make all the difference. Blues comment on the sand patches is spot on also btw. I'll sometimes have 3 or 4 cracks at getting the boat sitting in the right spot. Those little details can make the difference between bagging out and catching nothing but rubbish fish.Lightningx wrote:I didn't know that either. Will remember for next time :thumbsup:CarlG wrote:Top advice Scrags, I would add, if you drop a fish, move, 'cos the buggers spook so easily..a dropped fish usually results in the school scattering or moving away quickly..Scraglor wrote:Im not sure about that side of town, but there are plenty still going in WPB. Keep moving until you find them. If you dont get a bite in 20-30 mins, move again until you find them. Generally once u find a school you can catch quite a few.
Also, if ur baits are disappearing as soon as they hit the bottom, chances are you have a school of leatheries under the boat. Either cast out over them or move a little to get away from them. (Can even be letting an extra 20-30 Myra of anchor rope out)
