Nice fish! They start getting chunky once they get up around the high 40s. Always happy catching fish like that!

Nice flathead - particularly with all the rain we've been having! There are some big fish in the Yarra - my pb is 50cm, but I've heard of significantly bigger specimens from around the Westgate area. I would assume that any fish caught between Port Melbourne and Richmond would be roughly the same in terms of exposure to contaminants, but have never seen any testing on flathead.
