Ok, so the mulloway have slowed down of late, but this this a first for me - recently my brother and I spotted a flock of seagulls going crazy for small bait fish along the river. We did what we never do and tied on the only lure we had - a rattlin' spot thingy - and hey presto! A session of (tasty) little salmon. I caught a few more on soft plastics this morning, too. These are the first fish we have caught on lures in the metro area, so this might be the start of something new - particularly as the mulloway season winds up.
