Seeking that work-life balance
Hey Guys ,
I work near the domain interchange and have started bringing in my Ultralight combo to work.
Post work going to be hitting the Yarra around docklands for Bream and anything else that will bite
Ive had the Yellowbellies follow my lure upto my feet at APL more than once, damn things bail at the last minute.
Making it my personal mission this spring/summer to get one.
If you see a bloke with a black bagpack and genblack in hand throwing grubz's at pylons in the evenings , feel free to say hi!

Re: Seeking that work-life balance
Lots of small salmon at lagoon pier.
@Lightiningx thank you for the pointers.
Had a lovely evening catching and releasing some bay trout on soft plastics. There were doughnuts for everybody else .
Had one bream out of the Yarra, a couple of bridges downstream of crown.
Saw a water rat feasting on a dead duck for a good 20 mins. Quite entertaining to see him out in the open , feeding like an otter.
Even me desperately casting a soft plastic around him , in the hope that his feeding might have had some bream/EP feeding underneath did not deter him.
A few well spent evenings this week!

Re: Seeking that work-life balance
After having spent Saturday out near Barwon heads catching some hard fighting wrasse out of the rocks, I am now prepping for another go at the APL yellow bellies.
I will be fishing there tomorrow evening. The weather is getting warmer and hopefully the fish will be on the chew.
I am going to be chucking a copper colored bluefox vibrax spinner in the no2 size.
Any lure recommendations ? :water:
I dont feel like forking out the big bucks for a TN60 Jackall (stepping into the lake in formal clothing to retrieve a 30$ lure might get awkward)
Also looking to see if I can catch a fish with what I have rather than with a lure that Caught me first!
