Post by vinhii » Mon Nov 07, 2016 10:17 pm

hey boys and girls and kids :) me again lol for some that know who i am ,...

Anyway just wanted to know how some are finding it whilst fishing on packed piers , i went out to try brighton and was overwhelmed with so many fishos fishing shoulder to shoulder ..

wanted to know has anyone ever just tried fishing off the beach near the piers? is it worth it or just a waste of time? thinking of heading out tomorrow .

It's definitely worth a go mate. Have caught decent size pinkies casting just straight off the beach in an area not far from there. Good luck

I normally only fish the beaches but it's best if you can do a decent cast. There are plenty of areas that will produce fish but you have to fish them at specific times to get the most from them.

Saint Helens park Geelong is a good spot, you can fish from your car, I caught a good snapper there this year, so did Bowl from memory ?
The little jetty near the park holds Gars as well, the small flatties will drive you nuts at times but there are the occasional keepers among them.
