It would be nice to think that the restrictions placed on commercial fisherman, more ethical recreational fisherman and the efforts to restore natural structures in the bay is starting to pay off. I love hearing stories from old guys that used to fish the bay in the 50s and 60s....everything seemed to be in plague proportions back then.

nice catch. would of been even better if the fisheries were there to see if they all had valid fishing licences!!!

That was a classic :rofl:

I'd say it was probably caught in March or so. Though I'm sure there would be some resident fish around (good luck enticing them in cold water).

Decent catch in there none-the-less. (No way I'd be eating it, looks like its been too close to the yarra for a while, lost all its colour!)
