Guys
Been Bowhunting and Bowfishing for 20 yrs
They are classed as Sporting Equipment -Not Firearms
Ive taken Bows to many different states in Aussie thru Airports with no troubles at ALL
No Bowhunting in Victoria Freshwater but Saltwater is ok -With some restrictions
They are no different to a Hawaiian Sling Spear that Divers use.
They are not banned in Victoria and you don't need a License for one.
Dont get Compound and Traditional bows mixed up with Cross bows -They are another kettle of Fish-Fush .as they are carried around cocked.

Cheers for the info guys. I have a compound bow. I'm new to Victoria so I thought I would ask the question. I guess I'll still to using a fishing rod .
