Bolte Bridge

Post by Eug1 » Mon Apr 02, 2018 12:22 am

Fished under the Bolte Bridge tonight for a few hours on the outgoing tide. Caught one flathead on half pilchard, paternoster rig. Couple of other blokes there earlier caught nothing.
Cheers, Eug

Keep trying mate, ive seen big snappers caught from there last year. Also try for breams as there are a good colony of them that regulates that waterway. The elusive mulloway can be caught too given that the time and patience is put in. Goodluck on your next trip, all the best

Seems like a great place to fish. Won't the passing boats affect the fishing? eg. pulling the line back up every time a boat passes? or the turbulence in the water? By the way, are the fish there safe to eat? lol

I think the recommendation is one bream per year for consumption because of the mercury levels or something like that, not sure of the species that are seasonal
