It will taste great, steamed with sesame oil and soy sauce tonight.
Have caught ling before, usually easy to land but this one put up quite a fight and made the drag on my 2500 reel sing.

Yeah, I'm hearing ya Kaotay. Was snapper fishing in westernport this morning, caught what I though was a bait stealing rock cod....until it got near the boat, and it kicked off big time. Result, nice little eater sized gummy shark, lovely little bonus for the morning.

Great fish and a damm good table fish -- I just egg and bread crumb ling fittets myself and shallow fry them , very good eatting even if theyare a slimmy thing to handle

Ripper ling K, big buggar at that. Yes, they are one of the best eating fish around and not cheap at the fish markets... :thumbsup: :dinner:

Nice size ling!! Biggest Ive seen from the bay for awhile! I used to get them heaps from webb dock to lagoon pier. Like yourself, I'd rather eat a nice ling than a big snapper
